Although the Ricardian influence of this piece is undeniable, I feel the imagery is telling and the characterizations dwindling. All in all, a sound cadence, but a touch too Salmon for my taste. Had the poet simply continued the Celtic/Elizabethan cross-structure with which he began, the selection would have been utterly delicious!
